Kyarimpa Cares is a nonprofit organization founded in 2021 by Ugandan publicist and philanthropist Brian Muhumuza Bishanga. Established in honor of his parents, particularly his mother, Jovia Kyarimpa, the foundation is rooted in corporate social responsibility and goodwill ambassadorship.  Our mission is to inspire public figures, corporate leaders, and communities to actively engage in social good, fostering transformative change and contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We are a disaster relief and humanitarian aid organization providing immediate response to emergency medical needs and supporting short and long term care initiatives in and outside Uganda.

We work through storytelling, brand building, and media activism to address some of society’s biggest challenges, including children’s welfare, mental health, refugee support, women’s empowerment, and giving back.

Our Story

Kyarimpa Cares was inspired by the life and values of Brian’s late father, Abel Muhumuza Bishanga Snr., who believed in the welfare of children and regularly provided toys, clothes, and gifts to kids in the village. His acts of kindness and generosity left a lasting impression on Brian, who now carries forward this legacy by serving communities, children, and vulnerable groups.

As a young student, Brian’s philanthropic heart led him to regularly serve dinner to his neighbors during Thanksgiving, a tradition that shaped his mindset and career in philanthropy to work with established organizations such as the Angella Katatumba Development Foundation, Judith Heard Foundation, Kainos Foundation, and Desire Luzinda Foundation as an assistant, programs coordinator and publicist.

Today, Kyarimpa Cares is championing initiatives that nurture leadership, mental health awareness, and community engagement to foster resilience and sustainable development.
