2024 Afforestation Movement; Planted 2000 signature Fruit Trees in Kenya

In March 2023, Brian Muhumuza Bishanga continued to make a profound impact through Kyarimpa Cares, by promoting environmental conservation and social responsibility across East Africa. During a trip to Kenya, Brian spearheaded a tree-planting initiative, planting 2000 medicinal and fruit trees as part of his ongoing efforts to combat climate change and foster community engagement in Kitengela region.

This project, conducted in collaboration with the Uganda National Forestry Authority (NFA), the Judith Heard Foundation, and the Kenya Young Parliamentarians Association (KYPA), earned widespread praise from civil servants and environmental advocates in the region.
Brian’s visit to Nairobi coincided with the Forty Under 40 Africa Awards, where his agency, BM Publications, had five client nominations. Three of his clients, including Sina Tsegazeab of Natna Hair, emerged victorious, reaffirming the positive influence of his professional work. Despite the awards’ focus on entertainment and lifestyle, Brian used this trip to highlight environmental causes, focusing his attention on schools and churches in Kitengela.

2024 Climate Change Advocacy in Schools

During the same mission At Life 4 Kids HomeSchool, the team donated scholastic materials and spoke to students about the pressing issue of climate change, educated them on the importance of tree care in fighting severe droughts affecting East Africa and inspired them to become ambassadors of afforestation. They also visited New Life Pentecostal Church, where he met Archbishop Dr. Dan Migosi, a prominent spiritual leader, who commended Brian and Kyarimpa Cares for instilling environmental consciousness in the youth.

This major afforestation effort was made possible through key partnerships, including with Hon. Antony Buluma Samba, President of KYPA. The project not only emphasized the urgency of reforestation but also served as a call to action for individuals worldwide to take responsibility for the future of the planet.
Polluted water filled with garbage is a social hazard as a result.
Reflecting on his motivation, Brian shared;
“I’ve witnessed the devastating effects of climate change firsthand, particularly during my visit to India. The heat, pollution, and environmental degradation were eye-opening. I chose to focus on trees because they are a critical solution for mitigating climate change, supporting biodiversity, improving air quality, and fostering community engagement. The green economy starts with individual actions.”
